Qin Terracotta Army steps into show windows

Cultural innovation products in shape of Qin Terracotta Army will be seen in the future, as a cooperative agreement was signed between Emperor Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum Site Museum and Sina Animation on June 9.
According to Hou Ningbin, director of the museum, the museum is actively exploring ways to protect and utilize the cultural relics that are in line with the national conditions under the concept of "openness, cooperation and win-win".
“As part of the effort, the strategic cooperation with Sina Animation is intended to integrate the innovative results of the Internet and animation with the traditional Terracotta Army features, and promote Terracotta Army IP brand in a full dimension,” Hou said.
At the signing ceremony, General Manager of Sina Animation Zheng Qiang said the cultural creative derivatives with cultural relics’ prototype design are easily accepted by modern youth groups, which could be a powerful means to build the IP brand of the Terracotta Army series and to restore the vitality of the cultural relic.
The deep integration of the Terracotta Army with internet plus animation industry chain could achieve the purpose of deducing, spreading and remembering the culture, Zheng added.
The Terracotta Army was made in the Qin Dynasty (221-207 BC) and is listed in the world cultural heritage list.
It is known as "the eighth wonder of the world" and "one of the greatest discoveries in the twentieth Century archaeological history" and is a precious cultural wealth for Chinese people and all of mankind.
Since its opening to the public in 1979, the museum has attracted millions of tourists and scholars from home and abroad.
